Going into the doubles matches UCC were leading 4-2, eventually closing out the fixture 6-2 to progress to the semi-finals losing to last years winners Trinity 5-4 in very competitive matches. Both teams were tied at 3-3 heading into the doubles matches, where Trinity took the final match with a narrow scoreline of 7-6 7-6.
